cream together
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
add
2 eggs
add one at a time
1 teaspoon vanilla
add and mix well
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
add to batter
1 six ounce package of chocolate bits
1 cup chopped nuts.
pour into an 8x8 inch pan.
bake.
25 minutes at 350 degrees
